Inscriptions in the Millennium
Garden
The 'ship' below is a representation
of the centre piece in the Millennium Garden. The six large
stone slabs carry the names of the people who lost their lives
over the years around the Irish coast. Four of these are on
the large plinth that holds up the mast, while the other two
stand in front of this plinth at the bow of the 'ship'.
Hold the cursor over any of the
graphics in the 'ship' to identify the slab. Clicking on the
picture will result in a large graphic. Scroll down through
this to read all the names.
If the large graphic does not appear,
it may be due to pop-up screens being blocked by your browser.
Cancel this blockage.
Always close the new window before
moving on to another view.

The names can be found on the
two sides of the forward panel and the four sides of the plinth,
supporting the tall mast. Two new panels are situated on either side of the bow of the ship. These were blessed at a special ceremony in May 2007
